May 23, · OP, I totally get this!! I am in my late 20s and just got back into figure skating. It is the best decision I've made in years. As a kid, I was skating times per week from the age of , but had to quit due to $$$ issues, but never stopped loving it.

My favourite skater to watch was actually a pair look. Ekaterina Gordeeva and Sergei Grinkov. Growing up I watched them day and back. Would you compete again if they made a resurgence? Professional skating was really in place because it was for skaters who then could make money or receive gifts for their performances. Now Professional skating has lost it's charm and motive because any skater can receive monetary prizes.
